Panda and Keyword Density

With the recent update of Google’s search algorithm many websites have taken a backseat with their page rankings. The keyword density used in the prior update has become less significant now, more so that you may under serious danger if you still insist your SEO techniques to follow what was norm when Penguin was at large.

With the release of Panda many SEO specialists have been working steadfast to change modify the contents of their sites for it to please the new Google search standards. The constantly changing SEO techniques seldom allow a method of practice to stay for a prolonged time. In the realm of search engine optimization, one needs to habitually update themselves to keep ahead of the game and not let any competitive site to overtake you.

There are a lot of debates on what is the correct percentage of keywords when it comes to Panda and keyword density; the answer to that is, 1 to 2% keyword density. There will be a staggering number of people strongly suggesting a 3 to 4% usage of keywords, but that will only result as a failure.

You may find a number of sites that assess and calculate the density. There are also a few algorithms and formula’s that confuse more than help. Calculating keyword is no big task, to put it in simple terms your keyword has to appear just once or twice every hundred words.

Now, the one-two percent density is for the primary keyword. For secondary ones you can go up to 5 or even 8%. This may seem a little too much, but as long as you make sense in your article you have nothing to worry about. Panda and keyword density may have had quite a few quarrels in the beginning, as time rolls down it has become very clear as to what tactics work and what don’t. Until the next major change in SEO standards this is what you should drill into your minds.
